Remember Jason Bourne, real name David Webb. According to CIA director Pamela Landy, Bourne was born on March 15, 1971. The last Bourne movie was released in 2016, which makes Bourne 45 years old at that time. He was incredibly fit in the movie, fighting everyone who came his way to uncover the truth about his past. In their mid-40s, it’s every man’s dream to be as fit as Bourne, and frankly, it’s not that difficult.
What are the distinguishing features of Bourne’s personality? His observation skills are exceptional. Next time you go to your office, instead of walking casually from the parking lot to your desk, try to be vigilant and notice things. I’m sure you’ll spot a few things that have been there for as long as you’ve been at your job but never noticed.
Now comes the real part: his fitness. He is fast, and this can be achieved by doing some plyometric exercises every day. Make an imaginary ladder and jump between the imaginary rungs, or maybe buy one from Amazon. Fifteen to twenty minutes of plyometrics will make you as fast as Bourne.
Next is strength. Climbing ropes and walls require a lot of hand strength, so focus on calisthenics. A few push-ups combined with pull-ups will make you strong enough to carry your own weight. Third are his fighting skills. Try some shadow boxing and shadow MMA. Think of your boss as your opponent, and notice the adrenaline rush in your system. To make it more exciting use a reflex ball. Shadow fights are a great cardio workout and boost stamina so you can run long and fast like Bourne.
The next Bourne movie is due this year in 2024. Imagine Bourne being 53 this year; let’s see how fit he is now. Then we will break down his present energy level.
